Title: Vermix (1/2)
Rating: K
Author: jlrpuck
Characters: TenII, Rose Tyler
Disclaimer: Characters from Doctor Who are the property of BBC, and are used with the greatest of love and respect. No personal profit is intended from the writing or sharing of this story.
Summary: TenII (who, in this story, has adopted the name James McCrimmon) learns first-hand what it’s like to experience a human illness.
Notes: This was written for The Gang of Many Generous People who won my services through a (ridiculously large) winning bid in the April Support Stacie auction. This is one of the stories they won, and the prompt was Ten II/Rose (with no other incarnations of the Doctor present), Rose hurt/comfort. In my fine attention to detail, it wasn’t until tonight that I realized I’d completely misread the original request—so for that, I apologise to the group at large.
For the record, this ties into Twelve Months.

Thank you to [personal profile] earlgreytea68 and [personal profile] chicklet73 for their beta. Any and all errors in this tale are mine, and mine alone.

Notes: This was written for [personal profile] wiggiemomsi, who won my services through a winning bid in the April Support Stacie auction; Ms. Momsi received this months ago, at which point she kindly gave her permission for me to share it out. Her prompt can be found at the end of this fic.

Rating: K
Author: jlrpuck
Characters: Ninth Doctor; Rose Tyler
Disclaimer: Characters from Doctor Who are the property of BBC, and are used with the greatest of love and respect. No personal profit is intended from the writing or sharing of this story.
Summary: The Doctor and Rose share some downtime on the TARDIS.
Notes: This was written for [profile] grace61, who won my services through a winning bid in the April Support Stacie auction (and lest you think me terribly tardy, Ms. Grace got a copy of this *months* ago *g*). Her prompt was exactly what it says in the story summary: Nine or Ten; downtime on the TARDIS. For the record, this ties (loosely) into Leitmotif.
Thank you to [personal profile] earlgreytea68 and [personal profile] chicklet73 for their beta. Any and all errors in this tale are mine, and mine alone.

Apologies to those of you seeing this twice in quick succession--I wanted to cover both the fic journal and personal journal f-lists.

Just a reminder that the Support Stacie Auction opens tonight at 11:59pm, CDT (so...12:59am Saturday for us East Coasters, and 5:59 am for you lucky sods in the UK. I'd do the math on Australia, but my brain might break...er...3:59pm Saturday, depending on where in Oz you are?) There are now 180 auctions, across 56 fandoms--and DW has a fantastic group of 34 authors offering up their services for charity. And no, I'm not just saying that because I'm one of those 34 authors.

Now. On the topic of bidding...I've been noodling with what to do to reward bidding. And I think--assuming I make it this high--for every bid over $100, you'll get a drabble, on the subject of your choice. Seriously--even the stuff I don't normally talk about, the taunting, teasing "The story's not been posted, so I can't write about it!" things, set in either Peter-verse or even involving Nine or Ten--any drabble of your choosing (God help me). And, being stupidly hubristic and optimistic, every bid over $200 will get a proper ficlet of at least five pages. Clearly, the winner of the whole shebang will get a story of at least eight-ten pages, regardless of how much the winning bid is. The money is for a very, very good cause, folks, which is why I'm hoping that bidding will at least hit $100 in my auction. Stacie needs all the help she can get to "kick cancer's butt".

Please bid early and often (just like Chicago!) but keep the spirit of the game going--part of bidding is talking smack (ooooh, how those Gilmore Girls fans dish it! But can they take it?), and outbidding each other by just enough to torment and tease and spur someone else to bid. I mean, think about it--if every bid over $100 gets a drabble, theoretically you could get a *ton* of drabbles out of this!

I'll be doing--or attempting to do--an Author Chat tomorrow (Saturday) at 6:00pm EDT. I think just about anything's on the table for the half-hour I'm there, so please stop by and keep me company for a wee while! And for the Chaos-verse fans on the f-list, EGT will be doing a chat Sunday night at the ridiculous hour of 9pm EDT. She's terrified no one will stop by to chat--to which I said that Brem fans will turn out in droves, and that she has nothing to worry about. Please don't prove me wrong!

So, to sum up:

The timing for the April Author Auction is as follows:
Friday, April 3rd, 11:59pm – Auction opens
Monday, April 6th, 9:00pm – Auction ends
All times are Central Standard Time (-6 GMT)
